The Case For Joe Smith

Watching the Celtics over the past month it has become fairly obvious that they need a PF off the bench that can give them an offensive spark. Enter Joe Smith..

Not only can he shoot, he can be an inside presence and with the uncertainty of bench player like Glen Davis or Leon Powe(even though i'm a HUGE Powe fan), they need a veteran player.

Problem is, The Oaklahoma City Thunder do not want to buy out his contract and would prefer a trade at the February 19th trade deadline.

The price? A first round draft pick, most likely.

So the question is.. if you're the GM of The Celtics, would you make this trade?

Thoughts?

Hey, Big Papi, Do me a favor..

Don't play in the World Baseball Classic. Yeah, I know you want to represent your country and all, but The Sox really need you to rest that wrist that was so sore last year. What does a person get for winning this tournament, anyways? I don't remember who won last time.. do you??

YOOOOUUUKK!!

According to ESPN.com, Kevin Youkilis have reached a new 4 year, $40 million deal.

This is a great move by the Sox. Not only does it keep Youk here for the next four years, its a great price fore what you're getting.
